London’s Got Good Taste

Although you may think of Fish and Chips and warm British beer as the staple for our capital city, there’s so much more to offer as London’s food and drink scene diversifies, and proudly champions local produce for natives and guests of the city alike.

Where food and drink are a top priority for delegates, we’ve rounded up some of our favourite activities and dining spots in the city and just outside in order to tempt your tastebuds when here in London.

Denbies Vineyard

Nestled in rolling hills and lush green expanse, Denbies sits just outside London and offers the perfect escape from the city to enhance any incentive programme.  Travel just 45 minutes to Surrey to indulge in a carefully crafted food and wine tasting, with Denbies Award Winning British wine offered alongside locally sourced produce, exploring how different wines compliment different flavours and affect the palate.  Take time to stroll around the outdoors, explore the cellars or take the Outdoor Vineyard Train Tour, taking visitors at a leisurely pace through the vineyard offering magnificent panoramic views over the site and North Downs.  Perhaps even enjoy a glass of sparkling wine at the highest viewpoint and make a toast to your perfect programme..!

Markets & Gin Bicycle Tour

Mount your quintessentially British bike and saddle up for an afternoon of fun, food and adventure.  With terribly British tour guides as your hosts for the day, traverse London by way of famous parks and cycle paths to explore some of the best food markets in town.  Start at Maltby Market and take your pick from local, artisanal producers spoils – from Scotch Eggs to Steak and Chips all served in the quaint surroundings of Victorian viaducts.  After reaching the end of the street, stop by at Jensen’s Gin Distillery and indulge in a tipple or two before getting ready to depart and head towards iconic Borough Market.  Go on the hunt for a sweet treat, and indulge in famous Bread Ahead doughnuts whilst learning more about this London Institution and soaking up the sounds, sights and smells in this 1000 year old market spot.

The Kitchen Table

Taking a leap from the street food offering of Borough and Maltby Markets, we offer you an intimate and original experience at The Kitchen Table.  Tucked discreetly away behind a champagne and hotdog café, The Kitchen Table offers a pleasantly surprising 20 seat Michelin starred dining experience.  For smaller, VIP experiences, The Kitchen Table combines the theatre of live cookery from Head Chef James Knappet with a daily changing menu of meticulously sourced and foraged British ingredients.  An experience like no other, guests will feel truly immersed in an authentic, contemporary British cookery experience.

The Counting House

Finally, if you long for the tradition of typical British fayre, we offer you The Counting House, a bank turned traditional British pub that offers exceptional pies and pints in the East of the city.  Popular with city folk and visitors alike, opt for a tasting board of their most popular pies – from duck, to steak and ale, to butternut squash, there’s a pastry pocket to suit any taste.  With dark wooden interiors, and an eclectic mix of photography and paintings adorning the walls, you’ll feel right at home after being treated to Great British pub hospitality whilst you sip on various ales from one of London’s oldest breweries.

As ever, this is just a selection of the amazing activities and food and beverage spots our city has to offer.  Get in touch if something has taken your fancy, or if you would like us to design a bespoke, tailor made programme for your delegates.  From groups of 20 – 1000
