Wealth management client: Directors’ retreat in London outskirts
Back to Case StudiesThe brief
Our client, a wealth management firm, wanted us to design and deliver a three-day Executive Directors’ retreat. The aim was to strengthen the company’s corporate culture whilst dishing up gourmet food and a dose of intellectual stimulation.
The solution
We chose an exclusive hotel just outside London with acres of stunning parkland and an award-winning restaurant and spa which we felt matched the brief perfectly. We put together a programme that would flex the grey cells and test the group’s sporting prowess, as well as leaving time for relaxation and enjoyment of the hotel’s fantastic facilities (clay pigeon shooting, archery etc).
The inspirational Sir Ranulph Fiennes kicked off proceedings regaling the group with tales of his adventures, which he related to the challenges of the corporate world. An inter-office debate followed and the day ended with a relaxed dinner at the local pub. The next morning the group enjoyed a private polo lesson – a new and unexpected challenge for all! That evening a black tie cocktail reception was followed by a lavish gala dinner.
The verdict
Both the hotel and the programme were declared an unrivalled success, offering the stimulating and relaxing activities the client was hoping for in spades, as well as superb food, wonderful service and unrivalled surroundings.
