Direct Marketing Client: Luxury London Incentive

Back to Case Studies

The brief

A big name international distribution company partnered with us to produce an outstanding, luxury ground programme for their incentive to London.  With the desire to wow, spoil and reward their delegates, we were let loose to source iconic venues for off site dinners, money can’t buy experiences and a typically British, out of this world conference & Gala Dinner at the end of the week long trip.  With over 300 top level executives mostly from the US & China in attendance, our client requested the very best of British culture and tradition, alongside ultimate bucket list experiences with the most elite feel.  They would accept nothing less than perfection in the delivery of the entire programme; we were in our element, and couldn’t wait to get started!

The solution

The programme began at the prestigious Tower of London where guests were treated to a private viewing of the Crown Jewels, and a thematic evening dinner in the Old Armouries.  Everything from the table centres to the entertainment was inspired by the symbolic venue to fully immerse guests in Great British history.  Through out the week, activities included an exclusive take over of The Orient Express, with a meet and greet with Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir, exclusive British gin making classes, private shopping at Jimmy Choo & cookery classes with Michel Roux junior to name but a few.  For the more adventurous, high-speed ribs whisked delegates down the Thames and delivered guests to the O2 where they were able to climb over the building and survey the London sky line in a most unusual location.  The Rosewood, an obvious choice of hotel for the group, hosted visitors residentially and also played a special part in the week as we transformed the iconic courtyard into a quintessential British market where local producers showcased their goods as delegates enjoyed traditional entertainment and food and beverage offerings.

For the final evening, we opted to take over Old Billingsgate and deliver a Bowie meets Bond, Brit Pop extravaganza.  The initial conference required a great deal of production, AV and technological support, with the infographics displayed through project mapping on an impressive branded set.  When guests filtered out of the venue, they were delighted with a surprise visit from James Bond and some of his most famous villains!  We drafted in James Bond lookalikes and stunt doubles to abseil down the front of the building and staged a fight between Bond and some of his more famous adversaries.  Guests were delighted with the immersive theatre of the event and eagerly re-entered the venue to the opposite side which had been set for their final, farewell dinner.  Within this Britpop spectacular, delegates were entertained by speed painters, aerial champagne pouring acrobats and Bowie & Britpop-themed interactive acts who ended up on stage beneath a DJ suspended from the ceiling.  It was a truly unforgettable evening with surprises at every turn.

The verdict

The end client absolutely loved the event, and London provided the perfect platform to deliver such an impressive conference and incentive for these top level delegates.  The feedback from delegates was similarly positive as they felt well and truly spoilt in every element, from their luxury hotel accommodation to the fleet of 40 private chauffeur driven cars delivering them to every experience.  As for us, we loved planning and producing this exceptional event and were so proud to showcase the London we know and love.
