Digital Media Client: Experiential Party

Back to Case Studies

The brief

If you work for one of the most trendy and innovative digital media companies, you’ve most probably seen it all and done it all when it comes to extraordinary corporate events, so it was no small task for us to think up some bold and creative party ideas for fun loving employees of this big name brand.  With an open brief dancing around the idea of the interactive Secret Cinema concept, we were left to dream up some theatrical and immersive party concepts for the London office.

The solution

Our team decided to turn Christmas upside down at Loft Studios.  With 250 people to please, we boldly drew inspiration from Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas.  ‘A Twisted Christmas’ was born, and The Loft’s bright and airy space was transformed into a dark and menacing grotto, featuring Christmas Town, Oogie Woogie’s Lair and The Haunted Forest.  Characters from the film drew guests further into the live twisted experience by getting them to help Oogie to kidnap Santa, or put Sally back together with Dr Finkelstein in his laboratory.  Props and dressing were elaborate, and themed cocktails enhanced the sensory impact.  Street food trucks offered casual dining so that guests could enjoy every abnormal activity throughout the evening without stopping for a traditional seated dinner.

The verdict

We love putting together immersive, experiential events.  The group threw themselves into the experience, and interacted at every opportunity with the live theatre.  They then danced well into the night in their alternative reality.  Our client was thrilled with the design and execution of the party, and certainly experienced something out of the ordinary!  Job done.
